On the easternmost tip of Lignano Sabbiadoro, there is an old lighthouse that has been recently restored and for many years served as a landmark for sailors.
To the left of the historic lighthouse, a more recent one was built with the same architectural features, much further out towards the sea thanks to a long wooden walkway, which has become a charming panoramic viewpoint from which to observe the meeting of the waters of the Marano Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea.
At the Faro Rosso, on the occasion of the Summer Solstice on June 21, a sunrise concert takes place, where, seated on the sand, you can listen to the performance of a string orchestra as the sun rises over the sea.
